Today we had the pleasure of meeting with the Hon. Mark Bailey MP, Queensland Minister for Main Roads, Road Safety, Ports and Minister for Energy and Water Supply, as well as our local State member Mark McArdle MP.
We were very pleased that the Minister has taken the time to visit Exit 190 and allowed us to discuss our concerns directly with him, as well as other dignitaries.
We were joined by other officials from the Department of Transport and Main Roads, who also listened to us outline alternatives, community feedback, what we hope to achieve, and the process moving forward.
We were assured by the Minister that our concerns in keeping Exit 190 will be part of the process in moving forward. Successful bidders in the construction phase will need to address the issues that we have and find a solution which will benefit us all.
This has given us hope that we can work with DTMR for a successful resolution, and we thank the Minister for his time.
Stay tuned for more!
